I voted Heck no, and that is just being polite, I have other less congenial terms for camping.
I loved going as a kid, but a nice soft bed on a Saturday morning vs. the ground, forget it. OTOH, since I have one boy in Scouts and another getting closer and they both love camping, I am spending more time than I want on it. Mostly, I feel like crap the next day and you spend so much time packing back up and cleaning up.
The absolute worst though, is trying to get the stupid tent and sleeping bags back into their containers! It is almost impossible.

I voted other too, because we've only actually done it as a family once. But since we have bought all kinds of camping gear to outfit Cat, the scoutmaster for his scout camp-outs, methinks we should do it again sometime.
It was way more fun as a kid, when my parents did all the work! Now I still prefer to go with my parents, because they have their 5th wheel, which has a kitchen and a bathroom and an extra bed! And a heater. . .I hate being cold.

I like to camp. One of our family goals is to go more this year. We only went twice last year. I need to practice cooking in my dutch oven.

I want to go camping A LOT this year! I'm gonna practice my Dutch Oven cooking, too! And there's no pregnancy or nursing baby going on, so I feel freeee.........

I used to do all kinds of dutch oven cooking when we went camping, which I enjoyed. But then I realized that I spent all my time at the campsite cooking and/or cleaning up, while dilbert was off at the lake fishing and canoeing with the kids. So now I do maybe one "real" camping meal over the fire, and the rest are pre-prepared meals like sandwiches, RTE cereal, etc. Less work for mom means we go more often!
Our major holiday every summer has always been camping. But as the family has grown, the amount of stuff we've brought started to take over our van, plus it took an entire day just to get everything ready for a camping trip, so last year I finally relented and purchased a fabulous and gigantic older tent trailer. (I'm the one who used to mock those who "camp" in RV's. Wusses. )
So now everything's ready to go for last-minute, "let's-head-out-this-weekend" trips. (I'm 45 minutes from the Canadian Rockies, baby.) Plus the impressive little heater means camping season just got longer. Yeehaa!
Bok, two things that I do in terms of cooking and cleaning that might help: 1) Lunches are always cold and disposable when we camp. It's amazing how much more free time we had once I ditched the midday hot meal. 2) I'm far too selfish and lazy to cook and clean by myself. Dang it, if I'm washing dishes, I expect someone else to be drying and a third someone to be putting away and a fourth someone to wipe down the table and deal with the garbage while fifth someone amuses the smaller kidlets.

I voted for "other" because I like camping, though I'm not crazy about it. My wife hates it. So in general we never go camping. I enjoy going camping with my kids though, and wish they had more interest for it... though my oldest daughter (turning 12 this year) proclaimed, "I hate nature."
She gets that from her mother. Sigh.
