Worldwide Leadership Training

Did anyone here attend the broadcast yesterday?  I was able to go and was looking forward to discussing some of the things they taught.  It was a very good meeting.

My stake president promised to record it for me.

Our stake held it at 9AM when many working folks are working.

I'm hoping I can get the copy this evening.

Yes, I went. I really enjoyed the panel discussion, especially when Sister Beck told about having "Love at Home" as one of the hymns at every FHE. For those who didn't see it, she finally asked her dad why they sang that same song all the time. His reply? "Once you get lesson number one, we'll move on to lesson number two." Hilarious!

I watched it. I thought it was great. They do a very good job of focusing on doctrine, but they also emphasized how we can apply the doctrine to our individual circumstances. At the beginning they spent some time explaining that they don't want to exclude anyone, but that they have to preach the ideal even though they are well aware that many, many people don't find themselves living the ideal as far as the family goes. We have to keep the ideal in mind and continue striving for it.

They said many important things, but most importantly I got some good personal instruction on a few things I need to correct in my own family. I'm very glad I attended.

I enjoyed it but felt it was about 45 minutes too long. Anything over an hour and I start to fidget and lose focus.

I saw something on LDS news that it was going to be available online. You may want to check the church's website.
