Congress has passed the "economic stimulus" bill, and Bush has promised to sign it. Personally, I think it's a stupid bill, but I'm going to spend my check anyway. What about you?

Yep. I'm going to improve my preparedness stocks with half the $$$. The other half my wife is going to use to redo our front room (gotta keep the peace in the home).

I think that the government is right to give us back more money, and they should keep doing it. :)

If they were just giving us our money back, that would be great. It would be even better if they just didn't take it in the first place. But they're borrowing money to issue these checks. And that's just bad fiscal policy. How did you think that people who don't pay taxes will be getting a check?

Meh. I just spend it if I have it. Why not let the government take my money, earn a point of interest, and then give it back to me? :)

It'd be better than not giving it back at all and giving me a broken health plan.

My wife and I are using our return and this rebate to get our emergency prep and years supply in tip top shape.

We're doing some fun stuff with the rebate, along with our tax refund.

You should spend your money frivolously, otherwise you hate America. smile.gif

I'm going to get a year's supply of food for my cats. I'm crazy, I know. Plus, some other stuff.

We had a down-payment saved to get a minivan (3 carseats in a small sedan is working ok, but the kids are only getting bigger). Then we had all the water damage in our house, and between the deductible and everything else, our downpayment was gone. So now we can get our van.

(Actually. . . we already did, but it was because this check is coming).

As our truck recently had a six-foot long sideswipe disagreement with a big rock over who should move, we'll be spending the govt check and then some.

I guess I'll put in into savings. MrCoco and I typically split this type of thing with our anal fiscal ways... I'll probably use part of mine for preparedness, too. Mostly save up for summer vacation. thumbsup.gif

I don't think I will qualify for the check.

I'm praying that a few more patients will decide that they really can afford a crown or some cosmetic dentistry... then it will be good for me.

I had a lady today who made an appointment today to get her teeth whitened because she said Uncle Sam was sending her a check.

This was a good week. I need more weeks like this one.

I will save most of it, maybe get some more supplies, basics like medical, toiletries, some extra canned goods, ammo, and an extra bolt carrier group for the AR and buffer and spring. Already bought a new carbon fiber Blackhawk holster for my Glocks, and some extra mags for them.

I'm kind of envious of y'all, and then again... not.

The rebate sounds nice, but I think I prefer living in a province that is debt and deficit free. Now if only my federal government would see the light and do the same thing.
