Maybe I'm dumb, but I think the terrorists have "moved on" from airplanes now.

If the opportunity presented itself I'm sure they would take a plane. Personally I am far more worried about this:

The attack in Beslan should have been a serious wake up call. I'm not so sure it was. I expect to see this happen here at some point in the future.

I've already told my wife if it happens at our kids school I'm making entry to get my sons. I won't wait like the Russians did. There were more dead kids because of the delay.

Where do we read about the Beslan incident? I never even heard of it.

That is a great article. It makes me totally sick to think about it. I don't know what I'd do. What if there's dozens of them, all around the entries or they have the entries locked?

Frankly, given how many soft targets there are in America, I am totally surprised that it has not happened yet.  I think it is not a matter of when, not if.  If it happened, politicians would be climbing all over themselves screaming for a ban on firearms.  We know that Hamas and such organizations have been training in South America, particularly Paraguay, I believe.  The fear is that they will/have infiltrated into the US from Mexico and that border agents will not be able to tell the difference.

Have a couple of small 4-5 man terror teams hit or do suicide attacks on some rural schools in the middle of Kansas or hit a suburban school in Des Moines, talk about spreading terror and disruption of the economy as parents react.

Also, go to youtube and just type in Beslan to see a lot on what happened.

Here is video of the murderers in the school. The gym is strung with explosive devices. You will see the filth standing on or holding switches so that if the anti-terror troops storm the school and shoot, the release of pressure will detonate the explosives so that the children will die. Conditions were wretched for the children, no food, little water, few to no trips to the toilet.

coco: I'll find a way in. I don't need a door. They are willing to die for their cause, I'm willing to help them and I'm not afraid to die getting to my kids. I would never leave my kids under those circumstances, I'd take my chances.

Getting back to books, there is one at the library called Terror at Beslan: A Russian Tragedy with Lessons for America's Schools. I've got it on hold...hop in line.

*hopped in line*

This is something I've never really thought of before- the school attack thing. I don't really know what I'd do. If I had some mad skillz maybe I could do something, but now I feel like I'd just screw things up worse. Truly sucky scenario.

All the nukes in the world and we can't (won't) do a thing to stop them.
If that were to happen in our country  Mecca= glass parking lot.
