Happy New Year ONE and all... Hubby kissed me at midnight and promptly fell asleep! I will be awake until Son2 gets home from the party he is at... The parents where the party was hosted will be delivering kids in the next hour... We ahve done that in years past... I am a little glad that I get to be lazy this year... the last week has been eventful and I am enjoying my "down-time"
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen! - Samuel Adams

I fell asleep on the couch last night. Woke up about 10 after midnight, asked Cat if it was the new year yet, he said yeah, I said, "Ok, I'm going to bed. Good night."
That was the extent of our New Year's Eve partying.
New Years always seemed like a goofy holiday to me. I just see it as a free day off of work.
We let the kids stay up, and of course, they were up early this morning. We just had finger foods, played a game and watched The Goonies. I did not know there was swearing in that movie. Really dissappointed when I heard that.

We almost went to a party. But then Mr. Boo got a special Christmas gift from his cousin, and he was still contagious on New Year's Eve, so we stayed home with a sick baby. It was kind of nice that he had three cousins sick with the same thing at the same time. We could all call and update each other on our sick babies. Made it more interesting than having a sick baby all alone. Of course, it would have been even more fun if we'd been able to go through with party plans, but if you have to cancel them for illness, at least we had company in our cancellation.
