Painted this... the composition is kinda craptacular... but I like how the colors mix...  very experimental for me... seeing as how I have absolutely no abilities in color...

Title of this thread sounds like one of those Lifescape CD's one buys at Target... you know, where you go and press the button on the display for a sample...

{perky female voice} "Garden Birdsong!" {trails off as musical score with bird songs in the background starts playing loudly, causing everyone in the store -- and their uncle -- to stare your way because you are actually listening to the display...}

And after seeing the picture (which is quite nice actually), that would work as the album cover for said CD...

I love those relaxation CDs with sounds of the ocean and light melodic piano and such... I've actually bought those relaxation albums when I was Cubmaster for all my Den Leaders as gifts during the Blue and Gold. biggrin.gif They all really enjoyed them...

For a minute I thought you said you brought those relaxation CD's to your cub-scouts and they really enjoyed them and I was thinking, "Yeah Right! Did you drug them first?"

Polly: This year I'm hoping to paint and matte a picture a month, and then I'll try to send them out as gifts to folks. So who knows... It's one of those New Yearsy type things... I'm quite undisciplined about my art, seeing as how it's been something of a chaotic gift in my life... it's where all those dreams go that you never quite manage to make materialize in this world. So who knows, maybe I'll get inspired and will paint you something. :)

Oh my world, that is wonderful! The way the head is reminds me of someone that can overcome anything! When I saw it, it reminded me of a picture they used to pass around in college of a parrot tightly grasping a tree and refusing to be beaten/eaten by somthing else. (can't remember all the info).

Yours is much better! You could seriously paint for calendars or children's books or design cards !

First of all Ray... I am MORE than willing to purchase a print...

Second... I am partial to Cardinals (for birds), I also REALLY like owls... Let me knbow if you come up with something you are will to part with... for a price...
