On a whim I decided to try Firefox instead of internet explorer.

HELLO!!!

And I'm posting with my laptop again.

I love Firefox. Pop-up blocker! Tabs! Speed! It's a wonderful thing.

Now if FF only ran it's tabs like Opera does. headbang.gif  Yeah I know there's supposedly a plugin for FF to act similarly, but I like having my fav tabs always open to where I left em, whenever I start up my browser, without having to go find the plugin.
I have a tab for Slashdot, one that is always either on Nauvoo or Bountiful, one on woot, one on My mission alumni page I administrate, one for the blogs in my family, and a couple others for fav pages.

I like Firefox a lot and use it quite regularly, but I actually prefer Opera, headbang.gif and I only use Interweb Exploder when I hit a site that is soo poorly designed I have to use IE to access it, frustrated.gif and then I re-evaluate how important is it I go to that particular non-standards compliant site.

Oh and I also use IE when voting on a poll with poor vote flooding protections that allow you to vote repeatedly from the same computer if you use different browsers (always good for at least three votes and often three more when I go to work and vote from another IP address.)

Anyway, welcome to the realm of the enlightened Mahonri. clap.gif  You've seen the light and escaped the clutches of the great evil of our day, furiousMicro$oftfurious. Though to be honest you're like most the rest of us, still chained down by their operating systems.biggrin rofl.gif

DaKnife, in FF 2 it will open up to the tabs you had open last when you closed the browser, if you set it to do that. I don't know if that's the way Opera does it - I've never used it much.

Where?
I just looked through the options tab.

I've got 2.0.0.11 and I couldn't find that option. I'd use it in a heart beat, since Opera has had that feature since version 4 when I found it. (Opera is now on Version 9.24)

In Options, under Main, look in the Startup section. There should be an option called "When Firefox starts:" and a drop down menu. In that menu, one of the choices is "Show my windows and tabs from last time".

Cool, thanks, I don't know how many times I've looked for just such a feature, but somehow I never looked there. I just wanted a check box to click.
