Scrapbooking

I am all new to organized scrapbooking and have started scrapbooks for my  sons and (DON'T TELL HIM!) for my hubby from his mission years ago in Japan. That's part of HIS Christmas from me! clap.gif

I am using the 12x12 format and albums to do these in.

Do any of you have any resources for the inexperienced do it yourselfer who'd like to get stuff about Japan and Germany to tweak the pages.

I'd like to find scrapbook paper with Japanese words on it (I have found Chinese, but the characters aren't the same!).

cheers! wink

Not sure if this would be helpful for you or not, but it might be easier to find Japanese word stamps and then make your own background paper.

I know Stampin' Up has had some Japanese word stamps in the past (I have ordered some from them), and they typically have very good prices on stamps.

BTW, I found that a GREAT resource for nice handmade paper at a very good price is www.costco.com. If you don't have a costco membership, let me know because I might be able to ship some paper to you and have you pay me back.

btw, a great way to get free stuff from Creative Memories and Stampin' Up, is to host a party with one of their reps... My wife's really into the whole scrapbooking thing, and she's got an assortment of things free or as prizes, and she seldom really buys much from them otherwise.
