Changing songs...

I was thinking the other day that I'd really like to hear Celtic Women cover Depeche Mode's Somebody. (I think that could be really haunting if done the way I hear it in my head.)

What are your favorite real or imagined cover songs?

I would like to hear both Celtic Woman and Sarah Brightman do Bonny Portmore.

Do you like the Loreena McKennit version?

Eva Cassidy did a really, really beautiful cover of Fields of Gold. She did a lot of great covers. It's really too bad she wasn't around longer to do more. She was a great talent.

I'd like to hear Kermit the Frog cover anything.

Thanks, arbi.  I'm imagining Kermit singing "Gimme 3 Steps", "Baby Got Back", or "Ring of Fire."  rofl.gif

Yeah! Ha! Kermit could be singing Ring of Fire, but it would be Lake of Fire... like he discovers he's really in hell.... rofl.gif

Oh, Coco apparently hasn't had her meds today again... yesterday, she disses The Philster, and now Kermit The Frog!

Personally, I think it would be cool to have Kermit be one of the hosts for those Christmas musical specials with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square... wink.gif

Oh yeah, I have a couple of her CDs.  I love her haunting lyrics and her musical style.  Got my wife and kids into her.

Laura Creemer does another version that was used in the Highlander TV series.

Wagner played over the Beatles Revolution Number 9. It's a winner!

How about Kermit covering "Can't Breakaway" by Big Pig?

I would like Josh Groban to cover "I Am, I Said," "A Heart Full of Love," "The Lord's Prayer," "Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam," "Just For This Moment," and...well, pretty much anything he wants.

It'd be especially interesting to hear Kermit covering anything by Gorky Park.
