As a counter-thread to "crabby," I'm feeling moderatly zippy today.
I just sent off the spouse and kid to vacation for 5 days without me. While that makes me a little crabby if I think about it too much - I choose to go the other way and think about how much work I'm going to get done on the house this week while I don't have meals, football, taxi-service and all around attention to the family to deal with. I could squeeze 3 weeks of work into a 5 day period.
Seen on the back of a 15-passenger van yesterday - "I love giving home-made gifts - which kid do you want?"
I feel fairly prepared for the test later today.
My son finished all his Algebra before he left (this is the stuff he is missing while he's gone so, essentially, he's a week ahead)
I can watch whatever I want on the big-screen. If I wasn't working on the house every spare minute....but, I could watch anything I wanted if I were to watch...which I'm not...but I could...

I'm feeling pretty good today too! My checks finally cleared. I got more sleep last night than usual. My husband is off work today (taking a personal day) and he is taking over the kids while I sit here undisturbed!
I'm feeling Zippy today, too. I got my sanity (in regards to my addictive nature) back last night. Yippie!

I'm extra-zippified today, because I went visiting teaching and my companion and the gal we visited offered to help me bottle my tomatoes tomorrow night! Cuz I don't got no canners and I don't got no skillz! But now I will!

My son's football team sucks. They never win. Seriously. Usually they are creamed to the tune of 5 touchdowns to zero. But, they have fun and we're like a big family.
But yesterday! My son got the first touchdown they've had in like 5 games! And it was his first touchdown! It was awesome! He caught a pass, about 20 yards long, and then ran the last 30 for the touchdown! We were screaming our freakin' heads off! He said, "I've never run so fast in my life!"
