Ok, Polly is feeling sick AND pithy today folks so I think she needs a little strength. It's bad enough that she has to deal with all the kids at home and then she has the courage and fortitude to come and deal with all the crazies here on Bountiful. (And I sincerely mean that in a good way BTW.) She was mentally holding my hand while I was at the hospital last night with our daughter and it meant alot to me. Cat and I both needed some support last night and well, there are people here like her who provided it. Not only has she gone around and washed everyone's mouths out with soap here on Bountiful for talking potty talk on several occasions she also has had to exercise her moderating skills. Polly is a sweet, wonderful, kind person but if you get on her bad side... Well, I suggest you watch your back.
Polly is awesome. She and my daughter share a disease and Polly's contributions to life in general give me such great hope and optimism for what I wish for my daughter. What a full life she has lived. What a large number of lives she's touched in a profound way. And she considers herself a lazy giver? Puhleeze! Love ya, Polly!

Ditto. You're a far better person than I. I'm sorry that you're having a hard time right now.

You know, I was thinking that very thing about the kidney options. Why would you give a kidney to someone that you KNOW will reject it? Why not give it to someone that it could actually save their life? But I was under the impression that they do this regularly up at Primary Children's...?? Anyway, hopefully it will never come to that. My girl's on CellCept right now, so she's immunocompromised as well. No fun.
IF YER SICK, STAY HOME, DANGIT!!

I don't know how Polly does all that she does, from caring for all those adopted kids over the years to all you do for your family. It is amazing. I appreciate your example of strength and the way in which you share your testimony of the gospel and of the love you have for your family members. I'm glad to be in your online community!
Here's a little strength... I really think you're swell. Keep up the great work, Polly, and don't worry if things get a little bumpy in life, once in a while, in order to see from the high mountains of life, we have to go on a few roads that are not quite paved yet...

Thanks ray... I am glad to know y'all as well... It's fortunate for ya that you only have to hear my "whining" through my fingers...today I feel like I am "good"... even if I am not "well".
I hope the best direction becomes clear. I do believe that God can guide us in health decisions as well as doctors. It has been fairly recently that EDG learned that she only had minor asthma and that there were treatments for her condition. While not everyone is blessed with such a drastic hope for improvement, I know that some improvement or relief can make such a difference.
