If you had more time?

If you had more time what would you like to learn?
What skill would you like to master?
What project have you been putting off?
What would get fixed?
What would finally get cleaned up?
What consumes most of your free time?
Can you divide the time spent on that at all?
Why not?

I'd like to raise, train and condition a horse for endurance racing- (25 to 100 mile races) and then get a nice F-250 with a camper and a 3 or 4-horse slant load trailer and travel around going to these rides.

I'd like to get the family photos from the last 7 yrs. organized into notebooks chronologically. (This is NOT scrapbooking, OKAY??)

I'd like to learn how to make cheese.

I'm already learning it - to paint, pilates, better communication and, my personal fav, to write better. I put off the singing lessons for now but only temporarily.

What skill would you like to master?

All of them......what?

What project have you been putting off?

Life.

What would get fixed?

Life.

What would finally get cleaned up?

The patio.   and life.

What consumes most of your free time?

School, family and church callings and remodeling first. Then PTA, non-called church assignments, and...well, life.

Can you divide the time spent on that at all?

Uh...I think it's already divided...

How about if you could fix/change/alter one thing? That would take all day for me to answer...

If you had more time what would you like to learn?

How to not make mistakes... I keep trying to learn that, but I obviously have not studied sufficiently yet, cause I still goof up REGULARLY!!!

What skill would you like to master?

Parenting!

What project have you been putting off?

Organizing the pantry again...

What would get fixed?

The bathroom, it needs a hot tub!

What would finally get cleaned up?

Hopefully the dog run... but I am afraid I know myself too well to believe I would use any EXTRA time for THAT!

What consumes most of your free time?

Family and then work... the internet, in that order.

Can you divide the time spent on that at all?

sure... next week I'll work on dividing up that LAST one...

If you had more time what would you like to learn?

more language (ASL, Spanish and possibly a bit of Hindi (in case when my dad is old he ever reverts to his native language. I took French for 3 years and wish I remembered some of it)

What skill would you like to master?
improving cooking, some sort of craft, French-braiding; also want to improve  home maintenance type skills

What project have you been putting off?
home repair things, cleaning, applying for some part-time work, improving organizing stuff for church calling, sending thank-you notes to some people

What would get fixed?
if I had  unlimited time, I would want to spend the most time on supporting friends/helping people and building relationships, etc

What would finally get cleaned up?
paper piles

What consumes most of your free time?
aside from work/commute/calling/other activities, lots of time in the last few months has been spent on either being/feeling overwhelmed or mental/emotional activity or wasting time thinking of what I need to do but not doing it.

Can you divide the time spent on that at all?
I think if I spend more time eating healthy and exercising, that I will be more productive and have more energy to meet daily tasks.

Why not?
Getting myself better organized to make the best use of my life has been a major goal of mine for some time.

For the record, that was a stupid shot to take. The odds of hitting a gun in a mans hand are pretty bad. Tests have been done and often this shot can result in the gun actually firing from the impact of the sniper's shot.

Not if you shoot as well as I do... See I always shoot such that the bullet gets lodged in the barrel of the bad guy's gun... Kinda like Luke Skywalker did on the Deathstar... only with a bullet... and then when the gun fires, it explodes on the badguys... I'm amazing that way.

Ray, are you using the same gun that Eddie used in the Roger Rabbit movie for your crackshots?

PS> Yeah, I know technically it was the detective fellow who had the gun... but he lets me borrow it.

I LOVE to dance... my wife... not so much... so when we go to ward socials where there's dancing... it's always an adventure... I boogie all night long like Italians in a Discotecca and my wife sits and watches me. :)

We never have dancing at our ward socials. disbelief.gif Our ward's too old or something for that, I guess.

Our old people love dancing, its the younger couples who won't do it. Our last adult social, we even had a limbo and hula dancing... though the youngin's won it. :)

If you had more time what would you like to learn?

How to draw quick but still artisitic illustrations for my classroom.

What skill would you like to master?

Understanding non-verbal communication with better that .025% accuracy.

What project have you been putting off?

Replacing the dripping faucet in the bathroom.

What would get fixed?

The roof over the sun room.

What would finally get cleaned up?

Hmmm.  I think everything is pretty much as clean as it's gonna get.

What consumes most of your free time?

Developing engaging instructional units and lesson plans for my class.  I'm feeling a little cheated here--I mean, I got into teaching for the 8-3 schedule and summers off.  I attended three workshops this last summer and I've put put in about 55 hrs/week since school started.  What a rip
biggrin

Can you divide the time spent on that at all?

Probably, but I don't want to.  I could use the standard district-provided curriculum and save 20 hours/week, but then my high achievers would get bored and my low ones would get left behind.  So I'll continue to develop essentially three lesson plans every day, because if they were my own children, that's what I would want as a parent.

Roper, I think that it is great that you develop three lesson plans. I considered getting an emphasis in early childhood education when I was an elementary education major, but I switched to getting most of my second area of study  emphasis in Special Education before I changed majors out of the College of Education. I really don't think I would have had the organizational skills or the memory to keep up with the pace that you are doing. I may be able to do a good lesson here or there.

I could accomplish so much more with the abundance of time that I have if I could concentrate better and did not have other obstactles. Time is something I do have a lot of though! I do like having a lot of time as I hate to be overprogrammed and stretched in every direction. But I do make some strides that hope me feel postive.
