Strength for (Jason) Salesortonscom

Sarsaparillas on ME!

I just wanted to share with you that I appreciate your wit... so many times I just laugh and laugh and laugh at things that you say when I get morose and you are trying to lighten up the mood around here...  I am not at all political, but some of the things you say make me think about political topics that are important to consider...

SO...  With that said, I'll meet ya in the saloon...  AND I'll bring a treat for yu'r harse, K?!?!?!?!?!

Which cowboy hat do you prefer to wear Jason? A white one or a black one? wink.gif

Aren't you glad Cat invited you over here to Bountiful? What would the parties in the saloon be like without you?

I'll be wearing the black hat since I've been poking the perverbial rattlesnakes in the illegal immigration diatribes! Thanks Polly and Poncho for your kind words. It made my day. (wipes tear). I've managed to be here and not get Raybies too bad. It took me a while but Cat said this was a great place and he was right. Even though I disagree with folks sometimes everyone still is able to get along and be civil. Arb has been especially tollerant when I have referred to Ron Paul as Ru Paul. I'm still having fun! Thanks guys!

I like your sense of humor, too. And your taste in TV shows wink.gif

It is a warped sense of humor.

Gosh, I don't know how you guys knew but I needed this today. I had to let a guy go today at work that I liked which makes it hard. It's easy to let someone go when you can't stand them but when they're basically a good person it makes it tough. Thanks guys!

Jason... would you mind letting me go...???? I have changed my mind about working... AGAIN... wink.gif (I am not making fun of your sadness... Just thought that it might make you feel better to let someone go that WANTS to go...)

So...chasing him out the door, shooting at his heels is probably out, huh? That's rough. I hate giving people bad news.

It reminds me of a song...

...Walk awayI can bear it no longer
There is no way to go back in time
Forget me
Let me remain in my solitude
Leave me, bid me farewell...

Or maybe...

I know you're gone
I watched you leave
I always thought that it was me...

And just remember...

Se tu fossi nei miei occhi per un giorno
Vedresti la bellezza che piena d'allegria...

If those are Josh Groban lyrics you'd better check them at the saloon door first or you might have Jason running you out on a rail. laughing.gif
Oh wait, we're not in the Saloon. I thought we were.

Either way, I don't think Josh Groban lyrics are gonna give Jason strength. laughing.gif

Yeah, but I bet they give his horse gas.

Or you could always get out there, line-dancing style, and start singing like we do for our neighbor that's moving...

Na na na na!
Na na na na!
Hey Hey-ey...
Good-Bye!

Me lovey sasparilla! nod.gif

Sorry Polly, you have to suffer today!  I've already filled my quota.

I was feeling a little down.  The guy was crying afterwards which made me feel like a total jerk so I talked to his manager a little bit because he felt bad too.  Then my wife took me to lunch and assured me that I really had no other options.  Then I went into the saloon which will probably have to be condemned soon after the brawl, food fight, all the bullet holes, and the tarring and feathering of Ray for his solo.biggrin

I found a corny game show called "Power of 10" that asks people questions that begin "What percentage of Americans . . ." One of the questions was "What percentage of Americans have had to fire someone from a job?"

The answer was about 32%. I was surprised it was so high. I wouldn't think that one-third of Americans have been managers at some point.

I am sorry you had to do it, but you have plenty of company.

Man, Jason, I'm sorry.  I've had to go through the same thing when I was a supervisor and it stinks having to do something like that to someone you like.  Know that you did the right thing, go have yourself a beer (of the root variety), play with your kids, and smooch on your wife.

Hay Jase! I enjoy your many contributions. I like how you keep the topics light-minded... even if it is sinful. :snarfle:

Jason knew that it was proper to change his summer hat for the black Resistol--it's after Labor Day.  That raised his coolness factor by 20X.

btw, Jase, thanks for the pink hat.  Sister Roper loves it!

Pink stockings, pink hat... I see an alarming trend around here.

Pink is like a disease of the feminine mind. It spreads until its oppression is everywhere.

Jason,

So as not to misuse the moderation area I will respond to this comment here...

The way I heard it happen was that the problem came about when some spirit children played hooky on the day the class teaching about right and left was given...  The "RIGHT line" was actually on the LEFT side of heaven... since this was explained in the right/left class some were at a distinct disadvantage.

That must have been it. I think there was another meeting about things to do in mortality and when they started talking about the UFC, firearms, cluster bombs, and scuba diving I forgot that I needed to attend the other meeting. Hence why I'm here!

Why? Did your insurance stop covering it?

Insurance? They'll cover me for that? I thought they had exclusions for people like me. Hanggliding, parasailing, scuba diving, chainsmoking fircrackers, scuba diving, javelin catchers. Thanks for the heads up!
