So this brings up the topic of rolemodels... what do you think? Are they worth their salt? I happen to know that I am not sure that being worth salt is a compliment anymore... :)

Children need them. Our first rolemodels are generally our parents. That is a scary thing for me as a parent. Because I am really, really imperfect as a parent.
I still seek out rolemodels on occasion. I find it's easier for me to wrap around a concept when I've seen an example of it in action through someone else. However, having role models is a tricky thing. I want to choose carefully and accept that a rolemodel in one area might not be one in another area.

I like rollmodels. When I was a kid, I had a friend that could roll down the hill so fast that I thought he was the coolest boy ever. I'd always get hung up on a rock or a stick or roll sideways.
