Just kidding. The name LoudmouthMormon is actually due to my realization that somewhere in the last 10 years, I've stopped being a cut-and-paste hobby apologist with a skill for finding other people's answers to church criticisms, and I've become a source of my own answers to criticisms. This dawned on me when I looked through my 173 page word doc of collected apologetics, and discovered that quite a few of the entries were actually my own work. It sure didn't start out that way.
In real life, I've just been released as Executive Seceretary after 4 years. I've been keeping track, and I think I actually have had a hand in ushering more people out of the church (via name removal, disciplinary council, etc), than I've helped usher in. This does not sit right with me, even though I'm aware that only the spirit converts people, and only the Lord brings salvation.
I post occasionally at Nauvoo, MADB, the new LDSForums board, and in sporadic intense bursts at reachouttrust.org. I fell off a horse last year.

Cool way to word it... I needed that reminder today... My in-laws are in an uproar and I am feeling a little "tired"... I needed to remember that the Lord is my salvation and theirs, exactly... and that somedays we just need to be still and know that He IS God...
Howdy! My family uses that word sometimes. My dad grew up on a farm in the Midwest. :) It is good to have you hear. I would say that you did not usher someone out of the Church as you were only doing the name removal and not the one who requested it or interviewed the person. That's the way I look at it. I know that those who love the Gospel and their brothers and sisters do look on that as a sad day.

Thanks for sharing a few details about your sordid past, LoudMouthy. I came from a long line of combative apologists back in the days of Usenet's alt.religion.mormon... so i can sympathize with your need to whack the antimormon monkeyfish.

We'll have a hunt and then bbq what we catch! Yeah! The loincloth in endangered species motif shouldn't be too hard to spot... or we could wait for him and his fartin' horse to enter the saloon...

No need. When he comes to deliver it in his loincloth, you'll be blinded by the light.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be: HOWDYHOWDYHOWDY ?
Truth in advertising and all.
