Folks who know I have an autistic child would probably think why?
1. It doesn't solve anything. It does not "cure" any of the people who have autism.
2. Unless you are party to any of the class action lawsuits (which we are not, but another family in our ward is), you will not be "compensated" should a ruling be made to penalize the vaccine companies.
3. And, there are no conclusive scientific studies that have shown a causitive relationship. It is pretty much all built up on aggregate anecdotal belief that has in no small part taken on some of the hysteria of certain dietary fads.

My neice is severely autistic and my sister has done a lot of research into the causes of autism. She has even attended several conferences on autism and she still has no answers for why her daughter has autism. My sister has her Batchelors Degree in pyschology, her Masters in social work and is now getting her Phd in social work, so she is not one to jump on any bandwagons. For her the jury is still out that vaccines are one cause of autism.
