Be careful what you wish for...

Dang. I'm sorry to hear of this. I didn't do that well in my last stretch at being unemployed. It was just tough to be motivated to do fun things. Though heck, I did a lot of bugging folks here and in Nauvoo... :)

I am so sorry to hear that, PollyAnna. Unemployment is tough even without health problems.

Sorry PollyAnna, I think it is wrong that healthcare insurance is so tied into one's job. I wish there were better options for insurance being able to remain the same even if one changes jobs. Just like we bank w/one bank, it would be nice for insurance to "remain the same". Perhaps the percentage an employer pays towards insurance would vary depending upon the job and size of company, etc. But at least you wouldn't risk loss of insurance and inability to gain proper coverage.

Continue expecting everything to be fine. Remember the law of attraction, like attracts like. Don't doubt that something better will come your way, just allow it to happen.

So sorry, Polly. You're the type though, that whatever the adversary throws at you, you will.come through with faith intact. w00t.gif

What will change with your Lupus treatment? My girl keeps fighting the kidney issues. She's been hospitalized twice in the last 6 months for kidney infections. sigh... Her optimism is unconquerable, though. smile.gif

Polly, if no one ever whined, then we wouldn't know when they had a "trouble." hmm
Thanks for letting us try to share your burden with a few heartfelt words.

I'm so glad that you have a wonderful, supportive husband and that both of you have the faith to pull through this well -- however it turns out. Following the church's counsel and being prudent also seem to have made this a little easier for you now.

May Heavenly Father continue to bless you.

Polly, it sounds like this really is going to be the best for you. I am sure it is hard to adjust. Also, I second how hard it is to have insurace tied to one's job.

I would recommend not looking a gift horse... er one of The Lord's tender mercies... in the mouth on this one. He knows your needs and it appears has done some legwork to ensure they will still be met.

Polly, I'm happy that you were able to work out a reasonable work schedule. Many employers fail to consider the other commitments and needs of their employees, and I think productivity actually suffers.  Sounds like you're working in a good place that values you enough to make accomodations.

That sounds great, Polly. Seems to me like you're being looked after. nod.gif

I found the comment interesting that it may help those with chronic pain to have a reason to get up and get going every morning... I'll admit even though cocokid#2 doesn't have the chronic pain part, she is definitely the busiest of all the kids. Orchestra (cello), Chorus, Softball and horse-back riding lessons... sheesh! Seeing this on the surface, people would think I'm some sort of over-scheduling nazi mom. "Sorry we're late for the game, we came straight home from the hospital where she spent the night for a kidney infection." Maybe there's something to the busyness with this disease... she doesn't feel to inclined to extra rest either... I do think keeping one's spirits "up" can help one's physical condition as well. smile.gif
