James Olmost is telling folks BSG is in its last season (4th season)... in case you watch this, you may care. I couldn't get into it, considering the first season was too racy and dark (a bad combination imo).

Well, BSG started out quite well and had promise, but to me, it quickly turned into a futuristic story comparable to how the Nephites and Jaredites went down... sleeping on their swords, continuing in all their depravity, no ounce of remorse except that they could no longer continue taking pleasure in their sin... I mean, come on, Baltar's depravity is now rather mild compared to everyone else and their vices and "baggage"...
The story would have been a lot better had they not turned it into a soap opera. I say let it go.
What I'm sad to see go is Stargate SG1. Sure, the story lines have gotten cliche and predictable, but there is so much "fun" and even a certain amount of comedy in them... SciFi channel, please take Stargate Atlantis and spare SG1!

What the heck happened to SG1. They figured they would end the series and made defeating the Ori seem easier than finding a fully functional ZPM. Come on!!!!!
no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing... the truth of God will go forth till it has penetrated every website, sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done
My husband found a news link and official statement from the Sci-fi network saying that contrary to rumours, this is NOT BG's last season, they aren't planning on ending it anytime soon.
And I'm with you on Firefly, Euphrasie. I still have dreams about Nathan Fillion on occasion. The movie was one of the best ever except for that death that still brings me to tears if I think about it too much. Man I love that show....
I agree. The numerous deaths in the movie were pretty much the kiss of death to any chance of reviving the series. Still it was a good series and I wish it would have been given a few more seasons.
Then again all the best series have struggled with the spectre of cancellation from the beginning. At the end of season 4, Babylon 5 actually did a "Final episode" because the PTen network was going down... then WTBS picked them up, so they held onto that final episode until the end of season 5... that series could've used another few seasons... still it's a great show... maybe the fear of cancellation forced them to be more innovative.

Has anyone seen any of that show "Heros"? I have seen parts of a couple episodes, and have just got to say it seems to be, what's that word I'm looking for, bizzare...

I haven't seen it, but I heard a good review for The Waitress. Nathan plays in it. Just FYI.

I've never seen it. The story line just didn't get me interested.
yeah, major snorefest... after watching several episodes of that silly "reality" show "So You Want To Be A Super Hero" kind of turned me off the whole concept of people with super-powers.
