Sometimes you just want to ask folks like this, "What color is the sky in your world?"

With respect to immigration, perhaps the time has come when we are witnessing the events prophecied in 3 Nephi 16, 20 & 21, along with Mormon 5:19-24. If that is the case, then I guess the swamping of our land with the Lamanites is inevitable. I'm just not one to roll over and play dead.
Perhaps most of you will agree with this letter I got a while back."I think you are wrong in opposing immigration of Mexican people and other Hispanic people into the country. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints one of our first responsibilities is to share the gospel message with other people no matter where they live or come from. Many of these kind, wonderful people wanting to live here are ready to hear the gospel message and live their lives according to it. They have a much better chance to hear, ponder and understand the message here than in the terrible conditons in which they have been living. It is also easier for them to live righteous lives here than where many of them come from. Also, we should be willing to share as much as we can, even giving until it hurts, to improve the lives of these people. I admire leaders like Jeff Flake, Orrin Hatch, Chris Cannon and other Mormon government leaders who you criticize who risk their jobs to help the immigrants who want to live and work here. I know you and many of your friends disagree, but some of us believe sharing the gospel and whatever more we can share is more important than worrying about the laws that make it hard for these people to come unto Christ."
"In order for Satan to establish his 'New World Order' and destroy the freedom of all people as predicted in the scriptures, he must first destroy the U.S.," Larsen's resolution states. "[It is] insidious for its stealth and innocuousness."
So this resolution by Larsen claims that illegal immigration is insidious in part because of its "innocuousness."
The next time this guy writes a resolution he may want to have a dictionary handy.
Main Entry: in·noc·u·ous Pronunciation: i-'nä-ky&-w&s Function: adjective Etymology: Latin innocuus, from in- + nocEre 1 : producing no injury : HARMLESS 2 : not likely to give offense or to arouse strong feelings or hostility : INOFFENSIVE, INSIPID - in·noc·u·ous·ly adverb - in·noc·u·ous·ness noun
As many might guess, I believe Satan is behind the illegal immigration.
The Latter Day Gadiantons, guided and inspired by Satan, who are pretty much running the world know exactly what they are doing, and the illegal immigration into the USA is, as intended, greasing the skids toward a political and economic unification of Canada, the USA and Mexico.
On 14 February European Union High Representative Javier Solanagave a speech at the Arthur Burns Dinner, in which he stated that "it is true to say that the future global system will be a system of continents and continent-wide regimes, such as the European Union, African Union and ASEAN Plus."
I think the most recent example of the formation of a regional association involving trade, security, etc. is the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), which includes the U.S., Canada and Mexico. And in the SPP's "Report to Leaders, June 2005," is statements like "we need integrated, coordinated and seamless measures," and "increased economic integration," and "this Partnership is designed to be a dynamic, permanent process." This is to be "permanent," and "economic integration" means that if Mexico's economy goes in the tank, the U.S. and Canada will also be severely damaged. Why would any American leader want this type of arrangement? The Latter Day Gadiantons technique of accomplishing their ultimate goal is to use the gradual approach, which was used to condition Europeans (those that fell for it) eventually to accept the European Union, after first having the European Economic Community.
I wrote this for the Zion's Camp forum, but maybe somebody will appreciate this.
It should be clear that Our President & Co., as well as many congressmen, both in the House and in the Senate, have no intention of stopping the influx of illegal immigrants, and support permitting illegal aliens access to the benefits that legal Americans and legal aliens paid for. They condone legislation that would allow unlimited amnesty under one disguise or another, for illegals already here. Like the congressman who reportedly stated We love immigration in Utah....And we dont oftentimes make the distinction between legal and illegal.
Border Patrol Agents along the Mexican border are not getting the support and protection from the U.S. Government and from their supervisors. Instead, some have been persecuted as well as prosecuted for trying to stop illegal immigration and drug traffic.
Our president has called the private people (Minutemen) who have tried to reinforce the Border Patrol "vigilantes".
Now there is a battle raging between Texas and the Bush administration over construction of a Trans-Texas Corridor after the state legislature passed a two-year moratorium. It is reportedly to be a four-football-field wide car-truck-train-pipeline toll road the Texas Department of Transportation is supposed to build parallel to Interstate 35 from Laredo, Texas, to the Texas-Oklahoma border south of Oklahoma City. The FedGov is threatening to withold federal highway funds if the Texas legislature passes a two-year moratorium of the public-private partnership financed by Cintra, an investment consortium in Spain. In other words, Texas opposes the highway and railway project, while the administration is intent on shoving it down their throats, just as it is shoving immigration and amnesty down our throats. This planned traansportation system, incidentally, will permit shipment of goods thru Mexican ports, where labour is cheaper, bypassing American dockworkers, truckers, and railway workers.
Now consider the North American Union, already thoroughly discussed in meetings between the Mexican and American presidents and two Canadian prime ministers, beginning back in 2005. Without any input from, or even knowledge in many cases of our legislative or judicial branches of the FedGov, in the beginning.
No matter how I connect just those 5 dots, I come up with...Well, if the president can call the Minutemen vigilantes, I can call it treason.
Our president proposed a decent plan for immigration that he tried to present five years ago, but extremists on both sides of this issue refuse to find any way to compromise and seem to be happier being "dissatisfied with solutions" rather than finding one. The democrats in congress, most particularly will stonewall this as it benefits them to equate this issue to racism--as they have claimed legal/political ownership of that. Bush hatred has fueled no compromises or solutions. Bush simply cannot be allowed to solve this problem. He can't be allowed to solve Medicare. He can't be allowed to solve Social Security. It would be devastating to the opposing party for him to actually do what's right for the country.
Border Patrol Agents along the Mexican border are not getting the support and protection from the U.S. Government and from their supervisors. Instead, some have been persecuted as well as prosecuted for trying to stop illegal immigration and drug traffic.
This is an exaggeration based upon a legal case in which the border patrol agent shot a drug dealer, then attempted to hide the evidence. It is not as clear cut as you state--the border patrol must still obey the law.
Our president has called the private people (Minutemen) who have tried to reinforce the Border Patrol "vigilantes".
Um... that's because a vigilante is a person who takes the law into their own hands, and that's exactly what they did... which is therefore an appropriate name for them.
[nutberger stuff about North American Union]
This is a commerce deal, it's not treason. We don't want the Mexicans in our country, but apparently we're not allowed to get goods from mexico cheaper, because that'd be "treason"? If we really cared about our neighbors in this continent instead of exploiting them, we'd embrace this particular project and others like it, that would allow the Mexican people more opportunities in their own country. But no... let's call it some evil conspiracy. That helps things.

BTW, The Nephites and Lamanites nations did enjoy periods of great prosperity and trade amongst themselves, that didn't imply that the Gadiantons were behind it. If we would stop treating fair and efficient trade regulations with our neighbors as a great conspiracy, perhaps we then we could actually identify the REAL conspiracies against our souls... like the ones in Hollywood that distribute spiritual and moral rot and in our universities that preach a doctrine of atheism and intellectual snobbery?
Instead of fighting shadows, why not fight the actual enemy?

Take it from an AZ guy who has been down on the border several times, and witnessed and reported a crossing. The "Minutemen" were/are instructed by the leadership avoid even close contact it at all possible. They stood watch and called in the locations of anyone crossing over from Mexico.
As for the 2 Border Agents in prison, it is obvious to us that the FedGov purposely chose to punish those guys far more than was necessary, and it also gave a handsome settlement to the smuggler whose cargo of drugs was found in the vehicle he abandoned. The Bush administration has sent a clear message to the Border Patrol. Mess with smugglers and illegals at you peril.
We all have different source of information and different perspectives on things like this.
