I liked what Roman Giertych, Poland's minister of education said: "One must limit homosexual propaganda so that children won't have an improper view of family" Way to go.
Dang, now I feel bad for telling all those Polack Jokes!!!
Did you hear the one about the Polack Lumberjack?
He went into the hardware store one day to get a new ax when he saw a sign that said, "ON SALE Chainsaws, Guaranteed To Cut 10 Trees Down Per Day". So instead of a new ax he buys a chainsaw. The first day he goes out and cuts down only two trees. He's a little miffed because the guarantee said 10 trees. So the next day he gets up an hour earlier. Still he only cuts down three trees all day. So the very next day he gets up earlier, works later by latern light and trys only cutting down the smaller trees. The best he can do is only five trees. He decides to take it back and let the store owner know just how big a dissapointment this chainsaw is and demand his money back. The next morning the Polack Lumberjack heads into town. He gets to the hardware store and tells the clerk his story and demands his money back. The clerk calls the manager in the back office. The manager comes out and asks the Polack what the problem is. Once again the Polack lumber jack tells his story only his face is getting redder and he is even louder in conveying his displeasure. The manager asks him to calm down and that he is certain there must be something wrong with the chainsaw for it not to be able to cut down the ten trees that the sign guarantees. He takes the Polack and the chainsaw into the workshop in the back of the store. He gets his tools out. First thing he does is check the blade to see if it is sharp. Sure enough it is razor sharp. Then he checks the fuel and fuel filter. Everything looks good. Then just to be sure he checks the spark plug and even checks the gap in the plug to make sure it meets minimum specifications. Sure enough everything checks out so the store manager pulls the cord and starts the chainsaw up. As the saw roars to life the manager sees the Polack Lumberjack out of the corner of his eye backing out of the room with a look of fear on his face. The manager shuts off the chainsaw and asks him, "What's the matter?" The Polack still in fear asks, "What the heck is that horrible noise coming from the saw?"

Out of all the former Eastern Bloc countries, Poland has perhaps done the best for themselves. They caught on to capitalism quickly and are doing much better than they were under Soviet influence. Also, my wife has some Polish ancestry, and I baptized a sweet older woman on my mission from Poland. I've learned respect for Poland over the years.

I've always thought the insult/accusation of homophobia to be really silly. Who cares?
I have to admit that I have certain fears of what will happen to our society if we allow certain political interests free reign, including the homolobby.
We should have bumperstickers, "Proud to be a Homophobe."

Mahonri, I'm curious. It's not exactly like the church publishes statistics on this. Has the incident of people being disciplined for homosexual acts increased in recent years?

It's about the same as it was 10 years ago... Difference is, most of them simply leave and never come back or they ask to have their name removed. In other words, it's more prevalent, but as far as discipline being given, it's about the same as it was 10-15 years ago in our section of the desert.
