Very funny story about how famous people should be treated with special treatment along with the Elderly and children... or so she thinks...

It's southwest airlines honey....get over it.

There is a real problem in this country with celbrities, athletes, and politicians thinking they are somehow above the rest of us and should get special treatment or that they are somehow much smarter than the rest of us ala Tokyo Rosie. Not all are like that but there are many, many that do act that way.

Not only do stars think that they are better than normal people, but many non-stars think that stars are better.
And many stars are full of themselves. I've heard, for instance, that Chevy Chase is a real jerk in real life.

Why would a star of her assumed wealth take Southwestern? Wouldn't it be funny if it were really a look-a-like?  according to my bil (he works in a large airport), this behaviour is not unusual for the celebrities.

That's the thing - we're assuming that she's wealthy. I'm sure she's as capable of mispending as the next person. Heck, if Michael Jackson didn't keep getting help from friends, he'd have been bankrupt a long time ago. He couldn't even pay his staff at his house. So, no matter how rich or successful, it's possible that they have a money crunch.

And here I thought this thread would be about Jambalaya Sinjaya or whatever his name is.

Glad he's gone.

I don't follow American Idol at all, but I heard about this too. For some reason, even "serious" news sites are carrying this as a major story.

One has to ask oneself - if the person has as little talent as the stories say, how did he get on the show in the first place?

Mahonri read the article I linked. There's a really funny part where one of the people waiting in the crowd, annoyed with her antics when she says, "I'm famous, I should go first" retorted, "You're no Sanjaya!" (sp?)

Hehehehehehe! Too funny. I've only seen one episode at a friend's house, but as I understand it, Sanjaya was a great example of how fame can be chosen simply by people who want to harm others... He was chosen due to an internet craze in which people were encouraged to vote for him even though everyone knew he was horrible.
