Movies

We just watched the Nativity Story and One Night with the King.  Both were very good movies.  One Night with the King is the story of Esther.  Esther is played by Tiffany du Pont, she played in the first Work and the Glory movie.  Both were pretty good.  Both worth watching and of course clean.

Also, we rented Eragon and the Prestige, both also clean and good.  The Prestige has some really interesting twists.

The Illusionist is pretty good... there's a lovescene in it, but it's not as bad as it could've been... And the end is worth the whole movie...

We really liked The Illusionist, too. The lovescene could've been cut in half. Or two thirds. I mean, getting rid of two thirds of it.

I liked the Prestige immensely. I also enjoyed Howl's Moving Castle, which we found at the library. That Bale kid is great!

I still think Bale's best movie was "Empire of the Sun". If you haven't seen it, check it out.

wow...I hated the Prestige. My boyfriend (well, now fiance) and I went to watch it, after many high recommendations, and afterward we just felt dark. The movie was so twisted and there was so much lying and revenge, and there was no uplifting conclusion at all. Even the family was completely skewed.

My personal opinion: I just felt horrible after watching The Prestige and was a little ashamed that I finished it and didn't notice the dark feeling until after it was over.

You are talking about that Newsies movie with singing paper boys?!

I saw that at the theater with my wife, the dollar one in Provo. Good thing I did not have any rope with me or I would strangled myself with it, that agony would have been like a walk in the park than to sit through that film. I actually got up during the film and went out and played video games for a while.

Empire of the Sun just depressed the heck out me.

My roommate and I at the Y took the bus to Salt Lake and saw Empire of the Sun. The movie was so FREAKING long, we missed the last bus going to Provo for the WEEKEND. Had to call my PARENTS to drive us back to school.

But, as things work out for the best to him or her that loves the Lord, I was given the car back that I was grounded from after this.

In some ways, yes but I was inspired by the boy's endurance and the triumph over incredible odds.

Need a boost? Need to feel good about your family? Need to be happy to be a family? Go see "Meet the Robinsons"...

I hope everyone has seen Flushed Away.  It is a fun movie that didn't do so well at the theaters.

I did see it, and took the kids. Very fun. Especially the Tom Jones bit.
