California Parents Asked to Pay Up When Kids Miss Classes

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,257920,00.html

Nazifornia indeed!

Pay for public education through your tax dollars, and now if your kid is out of school, we're gonna charge you for that as well.

This is much along the same lines of what I've mentioned before in other venues about how here in Michigan (at least in my county), community mental health has gotten twisted into a "pay to play" (or rather pay to receive services) concept, despite the public funding from state and federal sources.

Well of course those who are irresponsible will be too poor so the fine will only apply to the people that have means even though their kids will probably have a legitimate excuse.  Typical nanny state bull hockey.  Remember we were going to send you to jail for spanking your child in this state until the heat got so bad.  These same elected officials are even trying to get us to repeal their term limits.  As if we could stomach them in office for even longer.
