Bountiful and Google

Bountiful now shows up in Google searches. I did a search on "bountiful lds political" and the site showed up. That means it's in Google's list, which is a very big start. I haven't tried yet, but I imagine that if I just did a search on "lds political" it would be buried way down. But it's there. That means that if someone is looking for a site like this, it's theoretically possible that they could find it on their own, and not just as a refugee from another forum.
I think that is important to future growth. We have had people from other forums, or people who joined because their friends mentioned it. But if people looking for something like this can find it, that's huge.

Oh, that must be why I wasn't getting it via Google!  Bountiful lds political.

I tried lds political forum, and got nothing but a bunch of political sites, mostly articles abour Romney...

I then tried Bountiful, and you would think that right up at the top would be Bountiful Utah... nope.  The first two or so pages were about some fundamentalist polygamist sect up in a place called Bountiful British Columbia... interspersed with a couple sites talking about the Bountiful Temple, and even wierder sites advertising female anatomical enhancement...  After clicking through to about page 5 or 6 of the list, I gave up...

Now, if you search Google on Bountiful Forum, we come up #9 on the list, behind several Bountiful UT site links, a couple sundry other sites where the word bountiful is used to show they have plenty of stock or plenty of whatever it is they're talking about.  And, better yet, we come in before the Canadian Polygamists!  WOO-HOOO!

A search for: lds political forum  yields us fourth on that list.  It links to the activeboard directory, and we're the fifth most active forum on that list.

So it does, so it does.  Had it been a snake, it would have bit me!  I think I fat fingered the searchs I thought had been posted.

Sorry Cat... when I read your post somehow I thought you had searched for lds forums...  I missed the political entirely.  Not trying to show up up or nuthin...

I had to completely wipe my laptop and reinstall windows, and I didn't even have the link for bountiful written down (my computer was dying!), so I googled it and voila, here I am! :)

Whenever my history is erased I have always typed in "activeboard mormon forum bountiful" which leads me to an activeboard site which has a link to bountiful. I've used that combination since I started reading and posting on this site a year or so ago.
